A short walk around the campsite
Fabriqueta d’en Tolín
- Time
- 40 min to 1 h
- Distance
- 1.1 km
- Ascent
- 50 m approx.
The shortest of them all: forty minutes to an hour, no car, out the bottom of the campsite and back in at the top. You start at the Les Illes entrance, next to the Font de les Nàiades. The path takes you to the ruins of the Fabriqueta d’en Tolín, an old sawmill beside the Tordera that cut heather root, or briar, for tobacco pipes. Then you pass another campsite entrance and finish by the gate above the pool. Most of the way is uphill: about 75 meters from the fountain, spread over a kilometer. A fountain and a ruin in just over a kilometer, and you never go far from the campsite.
Along the way
The numbers match the map.
The practical bit
- Water
- The Font de les Nàiades, at the start, next to the Les Illes entrance.
- Dogs
- On a leash. There is livestock loose, wildlife that nests on the ground and small children on the path.
- Bail-out points
- At 0.9 km you pass another campsite entrance, which also gets you back in.
- Parking
- Not needed. You walk out from the campsite.
These are the routes that start at the campsite. You walk them at your own risk: check the forecast before you set off, carry water, and there is no shame in turning back.
